A truly diabolical character in NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer can attain the Amulet of Betrayal Personified, an item that gives you a +12 (!!!!!) bonus to all stats in exchange for a hefty save penalty. This requires you to, in the course of the game and in the theme of the adventure as a whole, betray your companions at pivotal moments in the story and kill them by a soul absorption.
I did this with a monk/blackguard/shadowdancer to benefit from all of those stat gains and negate the penalty as well.
Also, completing the game a certain way basically gives you an insta kill ability that IIRC can be exported
Did you know that the Infinity Engine had its own logo video? It never actually played in BG1 and was only accessible from the movies option screen in BG1.

I wouldn't get too excited personally. While MotB is praised for its story and characters, it is Monty Haul beyond comprehension.
You could craft +8 15d6 weapons in it. Sure, it takes place in Epic levels but some of the items are overkill. As for the instakill ability "Spiritual Evisceration", it can just be given from the console. It is basically Ctrl-Y.
Personally, I prefer a more conservative approach to items, where +6 is truly amazing but +8 with 15d6 is just stupid.
(Can't claim credit for finding out these things. Totally learned about this myself thanks to Mark Ramsden, Robert Rath, and Laszlo.)
Spells in Planescape Torment are very unique and sometimes have behaviours that you only see with a given caster level (like the screen shaking with Magic Missile at level 10) or based on a stat (like how the parabola of chromatic orb is based on a characters strength).
Did you know that slimes only lack intelligence because Lollth turned down Ghaunadaur romantic advances. In a fit of rage Ghaunadaur struck most of them mad and took their intellects. As an unforeseen result, many of these worshipers ceased to exist, which caused the Elder Eye's power to collapse.
I'll be damned any time I read any deity related tidbit it sounds like a soap-opera. There should be enough script for 10,000 posts thread in a soap-opera format.

@SmilingSword Yes siree, reading that very same thing somewhere, gave me the background for an oozemaster druid. And THAT is why the oozmaster shall use his bhaal-given powers to assume the mantle that PROPERLY treats his follows and restores the lost intelligence that their irresponsible god caused by his temper tantrum. The way shall be found to reverse that act with the aid of fellow oozemaster druids, brethren still sympathetic to their plight. The worshipers are there, they just need to be re-awakened. WE shall also draw the intelligent slimes n oozes, the larger ones that kept their int. into the fold. The power vacuum exists. (Using the way of the weasel of course, Ghaunadaur is still a big man (ooze) on campus.)
Now, dadburnit, where in the heck is my slithering tracker familiar?

I thought Ghanadaur was supposed to be a lovecraftian alien deity and behave accordingly. The nerve!
Juiblex is still my favorite Ooze ^-^ how many oozes part-time as demon lords
AND at least, as far as I know, he doesn't go nuclear on his own followers of slimes and oozes, some descriptions even going as far to suggest they are smarter in his immediate vicinity.
For pure alien creatures, the Shoggoths and Shub-Niggurath of Cthulhu mythology always seemed quite fearsome slimers in the old 1st ed Deities and Demigods book, esp. having read Lovecraft's works.
If you don't have Morte in your party when you first go to the Lower Ward then Lothar will be found in a different room than the one that he is found in if Morte is kidnapped.
This thread should definitely have a spoiler tag on the title. Anyway, I discovered, after having played through the Mortuary like 20 times over the years, that if you can convince Soeego you are visiting the deceased, the Dustmen will still accost you, but will let you go with a warning.

I probably just bashed it open without realising it as I certyainly don't remember it. You live and learn. It must have become more obvious in some way in EE.
For some reason I remember one of the tutors mentioning that it's trapped. I just tested it in non-ToTSC - it's been trapped since the original release

Developing backgrounds can be fun, hehheh.

In the original game however you couldn't get any experience from disarming it. But it was there.
