OOC: He just barely tolerated Alora, having another one, and one who claims he is Lord of All he sees would make him snap. And if we rested, Anomen will memorize Bless as his one spell.
OOC: A brand new adventure might be just what I need to get into playing Aerie again. Starting again in the middle after a year-long break put a real damper on me. I also went back and edited my previous post, so Aerie has something to say to Anomen's proposition now.
As much as I would miss Jaheira, I kinda feel like she should be reunited with her husband... >.>;;

OOC: When we played Tomb of Horrors Tiax and Alora didn't get on at all well so you never know Anomen might have an ally this time. I wouldn't rely on it though.

OOC: he’d ally with Alora over Tiax. Although it’d probably go along the lines of “shut up gnome, girl get back here, don’t touch that! This is why I do not want children.”
OOC: Do we have the chance to buy new equipment? If so Alora will buy a new sling to replace the one that ended up in the swamp. She will also restock her rations of chocolate cake and elderflower cordial.
OOC: He's a Cleric/Thief and worshipper of Cyric. It is Quayle that is the Cleric/Illusionist. In the game Tiax has the ability to summon a Ghast. Not sure it would be a good idea to do that around Ajantis and Anomen though.
When you wake, you see a white castle in the distance. Between you and there is a cobblestone road. Looking around, you can see that Jaheira and Neera are gone. In their place is a male gnome with a thick, luxuriant beard smoking a pipe.
From your distance to the castle, you can see that part of the left side has been destroyed. Stone blocks and rubble cover the mountainside. You also see that almost all the castle and many parts of the surrounding land glow a soft red. All plant life, except some strange-looking thorn bushes and white roses, has died wherever the red glow radiates.
As you travel closer to the palace, a trail untouched by the red glow appears. The trail leads directly to the entranceway of the palace. The main entrance into the palace is the only part of the palace that does not glow red. The massive, barred portcullis, which usually blocks the portcullis, is raised.
You startle a rat near the entrance. It darts out into the red, glowing area and suddenly stops, shakes a bit, and then falls over, dead. You notice that other small, unfortunate creatures lie dead inside the red area.
The gnome walks forward and greets the party. “You there! The great Tiax requires your service! This castle holds great power and treasure, and Tiax must have it! Should you prove worthy of escorting the great Tiax, then he may even share them all with you!”
Alora is intimidated, she tugs at Anomen's sleeve and whispers to him: "Anomen, tell him it's my party and we're called Alora's Marauders. He doesn't seem to realise that I'm the leader."
