"Pay him no mind," Jaheira suggested. "For I surely don't." He tended to be overbearing and annoying, with no regard for the Balance. Apparently, she didn't see herself as guilty of much the same.
Anomen watches Alora closely and… Oh, look, a crack on the wall! (Rolled a 1).
Alora head north for another 90', and finds herself in an almost circular chamber 40' across. The exit here is to the north and west, heading west, but soon turns straight north. 70' after leaving the circular cavern, there is an exit straight west, or the corridor continues north.
Alora heads west and finds herself in a large cavern that is pas the limits of her light on every side. At least 50' east-west (though it does begin to narrow quickly) and further than that both north and south.
No pools here. The northern end of the cavern splits in two. One branch heads more or less straight north, the other exits to the north and west and heads west.
70' to the north, the corridor begins sloping downwards, leading into the most massive cavern you have seen. There is a light across the cavern from a crack in the ceiling that lets in dim daylight from the outside. The roof of the cavern 60' above seems to be moving, and as you shone your lights above you, you can see why- the roof is alive with bats. Thousands of them. The walls and floor are streaked with guano, and four mushroom-shaped creatures are places around the room with seeming randomness. Between your own lights and the daylight from above, most of the cavern is lit to a dim twilight level.
In one corner, you see a skeleton in adventuring gear slumped against the wall. However, to get there, you are going to have to cross the cavern.
"What we need is a plan. My plan is I run across to the skeleton as fast as I can, see if he's got any good stuff and then run back. And hopefully the mushrooms and the bats won't notice me. I think this is a pretty good plan."
"Not with our luck."'Normally, bats were nothing to worry a out, but something killed the adventurer. "We should first try to see what dangers this place presents." Maybe they should send Anomen in.
"Perhaps we should test these mushrooms with ranged weapons," Jaheira ventured. She hadn't loaded out with such, but others had. "Some mushrooms are actually dangerous monsters and fiends."
"All mushrooms are nasty," opines Alora, who doesn't like vegetables. "But we can't be afraid of bats, they're just flying mice and no one'ss afraid of mice. I think Jaheira is right: let's attack the nearest mushroom and see what happens. Then we can go and see if the skellington has got any armour that would fit Anomen or Arkanis."
Alora loads her sling and prepares to take part in the bombardment.
Although not keen on attacking seemingly harmless creatures to investigate a corpse, Aerie was also curious as to who the fallen adventurer was, and if they could find any clues on his person. Or her person. It was impossible to tell without a better look.
"Let me try," she said, and loaded her sling as well.
Alora will keep attacking until she hits something or runs out of sling stones. "Take that you nasty vegetable!" cries Alora (who doesn't like to admit when she is wrong).
*without any range attacks OR armour, Anomen positions himself near the front keeping an eye out for any movement towards the group (or swooping bats)*
Is this really necessary? You could have tried to just walk past the thing.
"It is prudent, lest we again find ourselves full of spores and in debt because of someone like you," Jaheira retorted, as his holiness needed to be reminded of such things.

That's what I said I was going to do just that but did you say yeah Alora you go for it girl no you said nothing (or maybe something I don't remember off hand) so now we are throwing rocks at mushrooms when the sensible thing would have been for me to have gone and seen if the skeleton had anything worth stealing and the walked past the thing. So basically this is your fault.

Alora can go north or south from here.

It looks like a dead end. We should leave the corpse alone unless you are willing to join it.

Alora misses. Badly. Both times. Not even close.
"Let me try," she said, and loaded her sling as well.
"Perhaps one of us should watch our backs as well, in case some denizen of this pit decides to take advantage of our impromptu target practice."
Neera turns away from the party and stabs her quarter staff forward trying to look cool.
If she does see anything dangerous she'll scream for help, fire a nahal's reckless dweomer'd magic missile, and then hide behind the closest person.

I'll let Silvanus determine if it is just or not instead of Torm.
