A new UI and bug fixes (and restored quests) are the only things I actually want out of this EE. If that's all they deliver, I'll be pleased as punch since the only thing about the original that doesn't stand the test of time (or even, frankly, the test of its time) is the clunky UI. Bugfixes are a given, and that's also a big + in my books, and if they can restore the cut quest content that's basically already done/almost done in the first place? That's the gravy I need on these mashed potatoes to make it perfect. Anything else is a heaping extra spoonful of both the mash and the gravy, IMHO.
I've been mulling this over... How do you format the title?
The previous EEs have been formatted with a colon after the original title, e.g. Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. But Planescape: Torment already has one.
So, do you do the double colon? i.e., Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Or maybe a dash? i.e., Planescape: Torment - Enhanced Edition Or no separator? Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition
Personally, I like the dash. The double colon looks silly.
Super duper pooper excited about this. Haters gonna hate, that's okay. Meantime we'll get PSTEE in an updated engine with updated UI (!!) on updated hardware (iPad!).

If double colons look silly, why not just use a double ümlaüt?
From modders perspective, hopefully older EE games will be updated with PST triggers and actions too. I'd love this one to be added into EE Infinity Engine, so that PST like dynamic alignment adjustment could be modded into Baldur's Gate games without awful workarounds:
Btw I actually just read some of the stuff on RPGCodex and... holy cow. I don't envy the moderators around here, there's about to be a troll invasion.
*duck and cover!*
Don't worry... we're on red alert. All flamethrowers of Boo and Banhammers are fully charged.
Awesome! As far as I am concerned, Beamdog making an EE for PS:T is great if for no other reason than to spite the Codexers and their ilk and to throw it in their face as something they cannot keep from happening. I am really tired of the "I don't want this so no one else should have it either" crowd.
With this all this Planescape talk, I would imagine if there was ever going to be a expansion...that it would be better to contact the original writers (if they're still around hopefully) to see what can be done.
I know for a fact there is a slew of broken quests that could be reintegrated back into the story of Planescape, Planescape's own UB basically. I don't know how far though people really look inside PST though, I didn't see much modding interest in it for years from the community. Maybe there is still stuff to be found that the modders have not located yet.
Whatever the game is, I'd like it to be combat oriented ( or, as I've already said, something like BG, i.e. a good mix of storyline and combats ....).
Moreover, one should take into account two factors:
Beamdog was looking for adventurers, warriors, rogues, wizards, druids, clerics, rangers, monks and shamans (little to fight? I don't think so.....).
Story Mode: A difficulty setting to allow players to experience all of the story without dying during combats -> if one is just interested in the storyline, then he/she can turn on this mode and that's it ( or can read Ken Follett's novels )
So, in my opinion, combats will be an important feature of this upcoming game......

Not a best topic for such discussion but I couldn't resist functionality begging after hearing the news :P
Only on Playstation Vita though.
