Let me add to this I admire Tolkien by his contribution to Fantasy Literature but I can't stand his writing style. I must have tried to read the Lord of the Rings over a dozen times but I just give up when they get to Tom Bombadil...
The same goes for Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time. The first books were amazing with good pacing and problems being solved and no three pages long descriptions of dresses and furniture... I gave up on Wheel of Time around the 5th book.
I hate psychotic university lecturers who had a horse-shaped stone as a friend in their childhood and abuse their position of authority to force people to read total crap. Seriously, were it not for that gig he had at Ox, nobody would've ever heard of Tolkien and this awful sausagefest fiction genre of his.
All the best films, music, and cultural upheavals happened in the 80s!
80s highlights...
Transformers DnD Boxed set. Empire strikes back Dizzy Commodore 64 Atari ST 4 computer games on a cassette (a form of data storage that used magnetic tape) for a £1.00 (Tottally legit, pre piracy age) Modems that plugged into your telephone to coonect to a bulletin board. Synthesisers The A-Team Knightrider Truly floppy disks Dire Straits Boy George The young ones Blackadder Queen He-Man

I had a career studies teacher in highschool who gave us pet rocks at the beginning of the year, told us to take care of them, to talk to them (tell it our hopes and fears), and also pet it every day. She also said that if we returned them at the end of the term we would get a bonus mark...so I guess I'm trying to say they can always be nuttier
A Christmas Story....the movie with Ralphie and his Red Rider BB Gun that plays for 24 hours on TBS every damn year. A beloved holiday classic that I absolutely loathe and despise. I'd rather watch a marathon of Paulie Shore movies than 5 minutes of this thing.
Though it was technically an ice sculpture, a joint project by Icemaster Nickademus and Jan 'Mr Psycho Gnome' Jansen. Poor Jan suffered serious injuries in the process and had to be spoonfed with turnip syrup for a tenday.
Toddlers and children are a weird one for me. Sometimes they can be super cute and clever, and then I like them. But once they start throwing a tantrum, I'm all "NOPE! NOPE! NOOOOOOPE!"

But when they smile and pat your cheek, then lay their little heads against your chest…

Heaven on earth.
I think you're right. The combination of trapped chests and toddlers who fail their saving throws would indeed be pure bliss.

Kensages.
Kensai/Thief is actually good though.
Honestly... why does nearly every single D&D computer game have to be in that thrice cursed location?! It doesn't even have saunas (!)

Back on topic:
- Hard modes in games.
I really like the many engine improvements but, for me, they are overshadowed by the soundset bug.
That's why I stick to IWD:EE until it's fixed.
