I'm pretty sure Daevorn *hated* those low ceilings when he arrived in Cloakwood mines for the first time.
Still, I think he has turned it into a rather nice apartment all things considered. Not sure I would want to live with a mustard jelly as a housemate though.

Why not? Automatic house cleaning that actually uses the trash it eats to fuel itself. 100% ecological solution
Derailing threads is almost a tradition in the forums. Most of them just go back to the rails on their own without any need of moderator interference.
We are just following the game design of Baldur's Gate here - the main plot and the ending stay the same, but you can take some long and bumpy detours before you decide to get back on the rails again.
The thread did not derail - it just swinged by the gnoll stronghold for a while.
I think it is more suited for a dramatic comedy or a soap-opera something like "Modern Baalspawn family" You´ve got the main char, born in a desestructured family with an abusive father and a compliant mother, then goes to live with a foster father of sorts. Then he/she has to deal with their problematic half-brother who is in a gang.
Then has to deal with the death of his foster father. He/she also gets fired of his job of "Hero of baldur´s gate" so he has to reinvent himself/herself. Also discover his new-found sexuality when he goes to help a childhood friend who happens to be his half-sister too.
All with nightmares and stuff. And turnips
This is a hit.
Tonight in "Keeping up with the Baalspawns" lil´sis Immy does not want to go with the big sis in his new enterprise because she wants to focus in her new career as a magician.
Big sis is sad but she has to take care of his fans of his newfound role of "Hero of Baldurs gate"...
We are still shocked with the fall of our big bad Baalspawn half-bro, but a new face shows and threatens to rob the hard-earned fame of our stricking hero: A woman with the face of an angel and devilish intentions: Caelar, a stunning celestial being with a huge and very toxic fanbase.
Our tasty baalspawn heroine will have to move quickly to ensure her sit in the center of the spotlights. And maybe find someone to heat the sheets on while she is at it...
What will happen when the two divas clash?

I start to think that @Permidion_Stark's idea of making the sitcom a new thread is actually a good idea. Anyone against splitting the comments to a new thread?

Maybe broaden it out from sitcoms to TV shows in general since the original derailment already seems to be derailed in that direction. And I think credit for the original sitcom idea really should go to @Artona .
Baldur's Gate Logic: You break into a house in the city and find yourself confronted by a female halfling called Nadine. She doesn't ask what the hell you think you are doing, instead she tells you she is worried about her son Euric who has run away from home. She proceeds to hand you an Amulet of Protection +1 and asks you to give it to him if you see him. However, she doesn't give you any clue as to where he might be. She doesn't even tell you that her son isn't a halfling, he's human. So how you are supposed to recognise him is anyone's guess.
Just do what you always do, just ask people with their name at the top of their heads.
For a strange reason, everybody you talk to is happy to give details about his life, work, his problems and hopes, and even intimate family secrets. And they even expect you to fix them.

That actually makes sense if you're a Dwarf

Or if you get up to go to the bathroom in the night and you don't bother to turn the light on and you tread in it . . .
Cool. Now we're going to have to start another thread where we pitch sitcom ideas featuring characters from Baldur's Gate.
Title: The Really Odd Couple
Starring: Tiax and Quayle
Strapline: Two gnomes - one home - You do the math!

I couldn't have put it better myself, but that makes the rail system very convoluted now doesn't it?
Gnome suite gnome?

I like your idea.
So you like Turnips...eh?
I think I know who your Father Is.
Imoen and Jan Jansen? That's some interesting twist in the plot of the Baldur's Gate soap.
I for one have shipped Imoenjan since Episode 162.
Starring: Brilla Silvershield, Liia Jannath and Areana
Strapline: In a town full of phonies, I'm not afraid to be me!

Anyone wants to make the thread I'll be more than happy to join you guys over there. Just post the link here when you make it.
And in true sitcom fashion Baldur's Gate Logic gets a spin-off.
