No... She left me to fight demons. I suggest we quickly search upstairs, she cannot get past us with us on the stairs before searching downstairs. Her guards have abandoned the building... Unless she is outside with them... I doubt it. The guards seemed leaderless until I heard Fiora commanding them. Well done m'lady.
So, the group finds themselves in the hallway again. The left path leads down another set of stairs. The right path leads back towards a series of rooms, one of which is the master bedroom that was on fire. Smoke is still lingering in the air from that direction.
I've said to much. By Lathander's pain and suffering, far too much. Let us find this harlot, and save the poor knight. His soul has been taken. If an enemy of the gods you wish to have fight beside you? You know I have to still pray to the buggers to get my spells. They don't seem to notice or care, perhaps you won't either...
“I think we can handle that,” says Guston thoughtfully. “Not sure exactly what your intentions are... but, though you were disguised, I remember your help with my curse. And I think our last encounter was... shall we say, a bad second impression?”
Guston makes sure he is the last to leave. He quickly shoves the cloak inside his pack for later examination and follows behind the others.
Then he follows behind, keeping a lookout for danger and ready to cast a spell when needed.
*Anduin sees Fiora step away from door to her left, a grimace forming on her chiselled features. Anduin steps towards the door.*
Vaga, we need your speed and strength in a moment. Perhaps Guston should check things out first... Before we make a move... Perhaps a spell for speed could also help if you wish me to cast it...
"You have them. And my life!" Vaga's as resolute as ever and wouldn't hesitate a second to lay down his life for the mission, his companions.. and friends.. and even for this strange gnome who says he's on a grand quest to save the world!
"Let's charge right in, time is of the essence and subtetly and rogueish tricks is not a replacement for a firm dwarven charge. Who's with me?" Vaga looks at them all one after another, eager not for battle or glory, but for purpose and destiny.
Guston steps forward to check for traps, looking warily at Anduin now. He thinks the premonition may be from Chauntea, but he’s not sure if he’s even on speaking terms with his goddess yet.
So Guston leads the party downstairs, deeper into the house. The stairs continue for quite a while, as they start spiraling downward. Eventually, the path gets too dark for Fiora and Guston to see.
The floor soon levels out, and the group finds themselves in a long, narrow corridor. Continuing forward, the passage grows wider, and the party can soon stand side-by-side once more. Eventually, they come to a split; a path to the left, and one to the right.
Vaga tries to search the floors to see if he can find any recent trails or footprints, something to indicate which way the sorceress went. While he kneels down to search he talks over his shoulder,
"Fi, care to scry one more time to see if you can see the way to evil?"
So... Again we descend into the depths... Natural caves cut by water, mines of precious ore and even the catacombs of the dead do not fill me with the fear and dread as much as walking into the over indulgent wine cellars of the very rich...
*Anduin watches Vaga pause in thought and a crease slowly form across his dwarven brow.*
Whoa! Steady Vaga. A joke between wizards. This is no normal basement. Who ever or whatever group decided to set-up home here has had time to put plans together branch out and bed in. Expect trouble. Fiora, what has your spell told you?
It takes a while for your eyes to adjust, and you just got down here, so you’re still effectively blinded, unless you want to wait a bit before moving forward.
Better wait for some time than casting light, for the latter may attract the attention of any monsters lurking nearby.
Ignatius levitates and casts Invisibility on himself. Next he casts Detect Thoughts in the direction of the right path, in order to understand if the monster (whose footprints Vaga has found) is near and if it is intelligent.

*Anduin bows to Fiora*
"T-thank you. Let me see if I can find her."
*Fiora casts detect evil*

Vaga takes the hands of Guston and Fi and continues onwards.

Vaga doesn’t see human footprints. However, he does see the footprint of a large beast leading down the right path.
I was afraid of this...
*Anduin casts heal on himself followed by stoneskin.*
"Comrades, I can see something big headed to the right. I suggest we follow that lead. "
"Fi, what did your scrying reveal? Did you detect evil, to right perhaps?"
I could cast light... But that will let everyone know we are here... At present I feel we are being drawn into a trap...
