Tell me about it. I did one playthrough and have no inspiration to do another. I'm hoping changes made in the expansion and the latest beta changes will help. All in all, the early experience cap and completely downer world are a big turn off for me.
I've no interest to play any of the expansions, the core game was excruciatingly boring at times and the main story/characters/weapons were very uninspiring. Pillars was also a buggy mess, how they released it to the public with such game breaking bugs was a joke and an insult to us who donated to the kickstarter. I'd much rather they took their time with BG:SOD than rush out a buggy version.
At this stage I don't really care either way if it's a buggy release or a delayed release, as long as there's SOME new information. There's hardly been anything for six months now.
Bugs are not the end of the world, as long as they don't leave it for a full year before patching them.
Delays are also fine, in fact for other games my reaction is usually just to shrug and concede it'll probably make for a better experience. The problem with Beamdog has always been leaving it until the last minute to announce things, eg delaying two days before BG1 was supposed to come out. The problem was never the actual delay, but how it was announced at the last minute.
On that note they really should have confirmed that SoD wouldn't be out in 2015 sometime before mid-December. They MUST have known by late November it wasn't going to come out by Christmas, we'd all pretty much guessed it wouldn't by then, so why keep it a secret?
I would just add to the release date discussion, that, from my point of view, the fact they haven't announced the official release date yet doesn't mean they don't have a release date that is known to themselves and/or couldn't brief it to the press.
@Amber_Scott Somehow European timezones (not to mention Asia/Oceania) are always left out in announcements, which is strange because you air early morning from your timezone so at least Europeans would be able to view it in the evening. It seems to be 7pm CET.
A shout-out via the email news letters might actually yield you more viewers (if PR is what you are going for)... or maybe I missed that newsletter on both my email accounts.
This is cool, but I'm guessing it will just leave me frustrated that I can't click on the screen and control the characters. *I* want to play SoD, not watch someone else play SoD.
Plus, I wanna be surprised when I do get to play.
PS - March would be good; the last week of the month is spring break here.

They're awesome, thank you @PhillipDaigle ! The dream sequences in SoD have been announced!
Dire rats confirmed enemy in SoD!
EDIT: Not on twitter, but it is amazing to see someone tweeting on a playthrough! Thank you @PhillipDaigle
Basically, all other sources and sites are saying only "early 2016", or "TBA 2016", or just "2016".
It seems I've missed some previous tweets by Phillip Daigle...
Yeah, "some":
