Noober: Everyone in town used to throw rocks at me and tell me I was annoying. I once knew this person named CHARNAME and his party of adventurers. They threw rocks at me too. They then placed a magic axe in my forehead. Now rocks pass straight through me! So, are you gonna throw rocks at me? What about now?
What about now?

Weeee... Went straight through me. Looks like I took a dump. And... Errm... My dump looks like a rock. Are we going to do that again? What about now?
No problem, @deltago. Starting from now, it'll go in spoiler tags.
An interesting situation, though: before people had wanted to hear more and more details about SoD and when these details have started to actually appear, a spoiler problem has begun.
If you can tell, deltago, what particular information in those tweets have you found spoilery for you?

Anything plot/story wise, even if it is minor details like Noober reappearing. I want to discover these for myself.
Information I am looking for is either an estimated time line for release, or technical.
For example, I want to find out details such as is Corwin a ranger (archer kit) or a fighter. I don't want to know how and when you meet her.
Any dialog pulled from the game as well tends to be a no no for me. Why ruin some of the punchlines before discovering them for yourself.
I didn't mind the first stream of game play because it was mostly showing the tactical/UI improvements and didn't give any of the plot away. Yes it looks like your party is fighting large groups of enemies, but the stream didn't give away why or how the PC got there.
A play through stream is a different story, I don't want to watch someone else play it. I want to play it and discover all of its greatness. Why I won't be watching the stream and why I gave questions that I wouldn't mind finding the answers to. I know I maybe in the minority here, just how I feel.
@deltago I'm sure you're not in the minority. Actually, I think more people - I mean those who're planning to play SoD, actually think the same.
After all, we've been waiting for 16+ years to find out what actually happens before your character is captured in the Irenicus's cage, what exactly goes on after Sarevok is gone, what do BG1 NPCs start to do after it, etc etc.
I actually think that deciding what part of SoD to show is a very big question for @PhillipDaigle and @Amber_Scott . Maybe some kind of a middle game (so that the main spoilers that happen at the start of SoD and in the end of it) - for example, Lost Kanaglym - "a dwarven city lost to time and memory, hidden deep within the earth and home to a sinister cult".
Or maybe they should show new NPCs' stats: so that we could start discussing them, whether they're "OP", "meh", or just normal. And so that it would be easier to plan your SoD party. I remember that discussing Rasaad's and Dorn's stats was a popular thing here before BGEE was released.
I don't actually want to be able to plan my SoD party ahead of the game. I've got three charnames that are good to go; a fighter/mage, an assassin/mage and a blackguard and it's going to be interesting for me to find out how each one can fit with new npcs and cope with different adversaries - without knowing beforehand.
@Iroumen, nothing too serious I hope and get well soon!
As for spoilers, they are good but as for me, I'm not too fussy about it. Things just work the other way round for me, I suppose. The more I know, the more excited I am. For example, I read all the speculations/rumours of the "The Force Awakens" leading to December last year

It's definitely a big consideration for us. In the past, we haven't had a dedicated marketing person to unroll information and so we've had these uneven stretches of no information followed by way too much information. I'm trying to even out the process so that people interested in the game can get news, but without spoiling the fun. We're even trying not to mention that
CHARNAME is the child of Bhaal
in promotional items because new players who never experienced the original Baldur's Gate wouldn't know that.
For this stream in particular Phil and I will show off some of the gameplay but we're staying away from critical path areas that might spoil the plot. It will give people a chance to hear some of the new voice work and see the art up close. (The dev team has even disabled some encounters so that we don't inadvertently trigger a spoiler.)
Great to hear @Amber_Scott I'll probably check out the livestream if thats the case. Im on sat internet though so all those art assets will be in beautiful 240p with pixels the size of yer noggin but will at least hear the new voice work
Sorcerers get 5th level spells at the 10th level, which requires 250k XP.
Philiip played with a party, at least with Minsc, Dorn and Corwin, maybe also Safana. So we can guess that getting at least 250k XP for each character before the final dungeon, if playing with a party, at least of 4 characters, is possible.
Also, it seems that the final location of SoD is a dungeon (not a surprise, though).

been going on since a month. Unknown how serious or what it is exactly, but since it is a heart thing. .. you can imagine it is a bit scary. I am being treated and they think I will recover. However, I do not feel much better yet to be honest, so the more delays SoD has, the worse it is in my experience.
The site seems to be not working for me now. I'll paste the extract here:
"Void-metal is an extremely rare metal; this ore type only forms from a coallesced portion of the void that interacts with the prime material plane. It is fairly dense, weighing in 25% heavier than steel for items mostly made of metal. Void-metal gives numerous benefits and the added weight is generally accepted at the great boons for using the material.
The benefits of void-metal are as follows: any creature attacked by a void-metal weapon receives no damage reduction, and this applies to all creatures including gods; any creature struck also has their regeneration and fast healing abilities suspended for 10 rounds, and this round count starts again if they are struck in a following round; finally each strike temporarily drains one hitpoint from the maximum hit points a creature has, lasting one hour."

can you start spoil tagging the tweets. They are giving away more information than I'd like.
thanks in advance.

I can't stop hearing it in the voice of Jim Cummings.

Thank you for the spoiler tags @bengoshi we get to beat up our own conscious thought processes now!

I have a feeling they'll announce the release date during the Twitch session.

As for the XP cap, we already knew it was higher than that, since we know Thieves can reach level 12, which is 440 KXP.
(...yes, it is.)
