The Item number code for "History of the Dead Three" is (Book36). Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul are the three six's. They are the Mark of the Beast of Faerun.
They're basically the Three 6 Mafia. Off the top of my head, I'm saying Bhaal is DJ Paul, Myrkul is Lord Infamous, and Bane is Juicy J.
Bassilus says he fled Zhentil Keep because it was destroyed when a group of giants attacked it. Yet it wasn't until later in the year in 1368 that this occurred (this was when a group of Frost Giants and White Dragons attacked the keep). As odd as it may sound the attack was actually Cyric's doing, as Cyric wanted to embolden his followers faith in him. Unfortunately for Cyric Oghma and Fzoul had other plans. They had compiled an account of Cyric's true life. Fzoul began reading this account to Cyric's followers, which revealed how Cyric had planned this attack. Having learned this a riot ensued in the City of Strife which greatly weakened Cyric's power. The keep ultimately fell. All told the death toll at Zhentil's Keep was around 42,000.
It does however beg the question of how Bassilus was aware of what was to happen. It also begs the question of why he was not able to prevent it.
Elminster: A cleric of Cyric may well have had a vision of the attack. He seems like the kind of god who would enjoy sending a vision to a cleric of the cleric's family dying...without mentioning that it hasn't happened yet.
Yep and that is the approach I'm taking with my Eve of War mod.
Cyric got into Bassilus's mind and convinced him that a devastating attack on the keep was going to happen. All with the intention of causing Bassilus to speak out to warn others to help build up the suspense until Cyric himself could arrive on the battlefield to save the day for them (which was apparently his plan).
Only Bassilus absolutely flipped out and convinced that everyone was dead he ran for the hills. He then traveled towards a Cyric stronghold in the Cloudpeak mountains, only to decide along with way to raise an army of undead out of an ancient burial ground near Beregost (and went on to think of these undead as his family).

When does he say this? I thought it was just a coup against his family.
"My name is heh, heh... Bassilus. I worship the glorious Cyric. I used to live in Zhentil Keep with my family, but then... The giants came, and everyone died. I... I ran away and... everyone died. But now they're back. I brought them all BACK! I'll help you too! Hold still!"
But the frost giants and white dragon part are taken from the Ruins of Zhentil Keep campaign book.

That could explain...
...why the undead are rather sparse around the Ulcaster ruins and school.
One character criticizes you for not guessing the answer to a riddle. Another praises you for doing the same thing.
If you tell the djinni in Kalah's tent that you don't know the answer to the question, he scolds you, saying you won't get anywhere if you don't try. But if you tell the Coordinator in Spellhold that you don't know the answer, he says you were right not to answer, if you really weren't sure.
Did you know that if you assign the Blackguard kit to a Mage or a Sorcerer with EE:Keeper, the character will have every advantages of a Wild Mage without the drawbacks ?

Very strange, is it ONLY blackguard that gives the wild-mage specific spells or any non-mage kit?
Maybe others kits do aswell. As far as I know, any kits will give the bonus one spell per level to a Mage or a Sorcerer, this is some kind of engine limitation. And that's why if you give a Thief kit to T/M he will have the bonus spell. For example an Assassin/Mage will get one bonus spell per level like a Assassin/Conjurer but without the school penalty.
And strangely enough, if you give the Blackguard kit, the character will have the bonus spells (like any other kits), but he will also receive the Nahal's Reckless Dweomer, Chaos Shield and Improved Chaos Shield spells.
Did you know that if you initiate dialogue with Firebeard Elvenhair thirty times he gives you 300 gold? You can do this in the Candlekeep Inn and at his home in Beregost. The EE version makes this fairly difficult, though. You have to wait for his animations to stop before hailing each time. Even then it's pretty buggy, but it's a "free" 600 gold in the early game.
Did you know that in the archaeology quest, the partner who asks you to kill everyone for the sake of profit doesn't come up as 'evil' when you cast detect evil?
Just goes to show you how you can't judge someone by their actions in D&D!
Did you know the *charname* wakes up in Irenicus' dungeon exactly one year after Gorien tells them they are leaving Candlekeep? BGEE starts at Hour 7, 1 Mirtul, 1368. BG2EE starts at Hour 7, 1 Mirtul 1369. So plan your resting and travelling carefully, friends!
Did you know that the Calender of Harptos has 365 days? Twelve 30 day months and five holidays. Hammer, Alturiak, Ches, Tarsakh, Mirtul, Kythorn, Flamerule, Eleasias, Eleint, Marpenoth, Uktar, and Nocal. I'll leave it to our experts to list the holidays and if they exist in game.
Do you know what happens if Lehtinan kills Hendak in their fight? At one point I RNG abused to get Hendak to lose, and then Lehtinan says something about his business being ruined and he turns hostile.
@Grum actually shared his finding that while playing as a Shadowdancer and hitting the 'detect illusion' button and waiting for a bit, you can start the timer on the hide skill refreshing.
This find alone actually restores the thing I loved about the Shadowdancer the time this kit was first introduced. Many people called this kit OP (and Grum obviously thinks the same) because of that but to me, it was the thing I enjoyed a lot. And then the developers actually nerfed the kit.
I even made a poll on the nerfing of the Shadowdancer then.
But now, thanks to @Grum people who like chain backstabs and don't mind to use this powerful feature can know again how to do it, even after the Shadowdancer was nerfed.
Did you know that every merchant in the world knows, with their supreme powers of divination and their peculiar interest in you, that at some point you traveled to the Underdark and watched 20 prisoners explode into lovely delicious chunks? Now all those merchants hate you and they think you are one of the worst villains of all!
So why couldn't the authorities of Tethyr figure out that Yaga-Shura was the one who destroyed Saradush?
Did you know that certain Greater Basilisks give more experience than others? I think the one near Mutamin and the one in the warehouse in Baldur's Gate are the ones that give more.
Did you know that the Tethyrian authorities are dumbasses?
Same could be said for Candlekeep's authorities.
Candlekeep authorities can be blamed on doppelgangers though.
Either they mimicked you to do the killing or the authorities in question.
Yea but dopplegangers seem like they'd be pretty easy to interrogate. All you do is keep asking them questions and they'll either thsss, giving away their nature, or they'll just shapechange. None of them seem to be willing to stay in character for very long.
