My screen name is the first name of my most memorable wizard character from a PnP D&D group that I played in during the 80s in high school, now resurrected for this forum.
20 or so years ago, I played a Heroes III map called "The Fall of Atlantis". One of the characters was called "Galactyon" and I really liked the name. So I adopted it as "Galactygon" which is easier to pronounce.
My real name is Robert Rath and (apart from my gig at Beamdog) I am a practicing architect in Sweden.
Mine was, obviously, after Nilfgaardian knight from The Witcher series, Cahir Mawffr Dyffryn Aep Caellach. This nick is old, like 20+ years old. It was my favorite character of the Witcher saga, back in the high school when I read it for the first time. It remembers the first IRC chats. ?
Seems and updated is in order!
Just my name. Might not be awesome to be me but I am not ashamed of it. Anyway, except for my years in the Army when they call you by your last name, everyone has always called me Michelle. Fits much better than Nightfall don't you think?
Notice that subtle hint at superiority. Who really controls reality? Humans, or felines???
Oh, they are definitely in control. We are just their hairless, two foots pets.
True humility is not possible unless you have been the proud pet of a cat.
My online handles for the last 20ish years have always come from references to a very influential (for me) hip hop band in my youth. I bounced from reference to reference, but eventually landed at Ballpoint Man - a superhero whose power is in his pen.

Now it hit me your real name is the same as the character played by Sly Stallone in "Assassins"?

He doesn't look impressed with my change of status.
Ah hem... Forgive the random kitty pic.
