Okay. This door, once you get it open, is a 10' by 20' room with another door at the other end, up 20' of stairs. It's 10' north south by 20' east-west.
OOC: I think we will check the other door before heading upstairs so Alora will listen and check for traps before opening the door on the west side of the hallway.
You get the door open (not locked or with any traps you find)
This 40' (east-west) by 60' (north-south) room contains bunks, stools, wooden tables and blankets. The wooden items have been broken. Five corpses litter the floor. Two of them are human, dressed like palace guards The other three are grayish skinned humanoid race with grotesque faces. You recognize them as goblins.
In addition to the general wreckage of the place, you see another door to the west and south.
"From the smell i would tell they are dead since a wek. On another note, i admire your sense of location Alora. To tell the truth i lost track after araound the seventh door."
When Alora gets close to the door and stats checking for traps, she hears brutish voices from inside. It sounds like they are having quite an argument. The voices are in Hobgoblin. She can't tell exactly how many ae in there, but it seems like more than four or five.
The door is unlocked and she can't find any traps.
"Guys, there's hobgoblins arguing in there. Why don't we wait and see if they start fighting among themselves? We could set an ambush in case they come out."
It's still an argument. You aren't sure what they are arguing about- they are disagreeing, rather violently, over something. Loot, maybe? It's hard to tell, because they mostly say "It".
It does sound like if she wants to sneak the party inside, these goons would be distracted enough not to notice you entering.
"Okay guys, I'm going to open the door and we can take them by surprise. If you want to cast a spell get it ready now because I am opening the door in three, two, one . . ."
"Aerie, I f we put them to sleep what do we do with them then? We've got to get them out of the castle. We can't just leave them behind us and hope they don't wake up." Alora is in an ethical dilemma.
