True. I've fixed several spelling mistakes, if that counts.

The next poster once created a wikipedia article.
  • GenderNihilismGirdleGenderNihilismGirdle Member Posts: 1,353
False, I think? I actually can't remember and I just tried to log in and a) can't remember my password and b) apparently I created the account before you needed to associate an email address with it and there isn't a way for me to reset my password. Not that it matters, but now I'll never know for sure if I created an article or not.

The next poster has had many a login issue over the years with many a website.
  • ThacoBellThacoBell Member Posts: 12,235
    Ugh, true.

The next poster has never had login issues. Ever.
  • KaliestoKaliesto Member Posts: 282
I never had any login issues thankfully.

The next poster had a messed up installation, and all the sprites all became something else entirely (Flying Chair man)!
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
False, but that could be easily modded to happen, by reading all the animations in the game (in the EEs you have a .ini file for each set of animations), and copying over the sitting man animation's files over them. I might code it tomorrow but I'm off to sleep now.

The next poster woke up less than an hour ago.
  • taclanetaclane Member, Mobile Tester Posts: 364
True... I think. Daylight Savings Time just hit the US over the weekend. So I either woke up less than an hour ago, or I will have woken up an hour from now. I keep forgetting how that works.

The next poster doesn't bother with local time anymore, and just uses UTC for everything.
  • lolienlolien Member, Moderator, Translator (NDA) Posts: 3,108
What's an UTC? Anyway, It's surely can't be used for everything so false.

The next poster watched MacGyver episodes and enjoyed them. (Now that i check the spelling i must add that the older episodes with Richard Dean Anderson, apparently there's a new series started in 2016 O,o)
  • GenderNihilismGirdleGenderNihilismGirdle Member Posts: 1,353
True, but a lot of that enjoyment was comedy where the show didn't seem to be trying for comedy.

The next poster finds a lot of things funny that probably aren't meant to be.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
A lot? More like ALL of them!

The next poster also laughs at, uhm, democracy and thinking themselves doing some dumb thing. Dunno.
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
Thinking about democracy just makes me feel worried.

The postwar democratic order preserved peace in Europe for decades and kept Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan safe from foreign attack, freeing all of them to focus on economic reconstruction and making them the economic powerhouses whose innovations and progress feed the entire world. But World War 2 has faded from living memory, communism has utterly vanished as an existential threat, and people no longer see the value in the current world order. People don't seem to care as much when world leaders commit human rights violations or break international law. People are losing interest in a lot of things, and yet the most strident opponents of the world order have no idea what to replace it with.

The next poster is also a huge downer.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
    Sometimes.

The issue you're bringing up is called Nihilism. Democracy is one of the reasons this is such a common trait in people these days. People feel they don't wield any power, it disappoints them. This, combined with some other certain trends that are present in the western world since millennia ago.

The next poster will name the author that influenced this post (ez).

You mean a future asado? Never.

The next poster ate dulce de leche at least once in their lives.
  • GenderNihilismGirdleGenderNihilismGirdle Member Posts: 1,353
False, I think? Can't remember ever consuming it prior to going vegan.

    The next poster consumes vegans.
  • ThacoBellThacoBell Member Posts: 12,235

False, this is impossible, as no matter what you eat, an animal was somewhere exploited to obtain it.

The next poster does not consider eating fish the same as eating meat.
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
True. Good fish is too expensive when compared to good meat.

The next poster hunts their own food.
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903

Hunting is barbaric. I refuse to be complicit in the murder of helpless animals. I only eat helpful animals, like horses.

The next poster has eaten a bug and would eat one again.
  • ThacoBellThacoBell Member Posts: 12,235
True, fry up some crickets and put em in a taco.

The next poster thinks I've posted in this thread too much lately.
  • SkatanSkatan Member, Moderator Posts: 5,352
False, one can never post too much in this thread.

The next poster has posted way, way too little in this thread but will compensate that from now on by enabling their HLA "whirlwind posting" every round for the next 6 rounds.
  • mlnevesemlnevese Member, Moderator Posts: 10,214
Sorry I can't do that... spamming is still against forum rules :)

The next poster thinks that anyone who has more than 5000 posts has posted way too much in these forums
  • wubblewubble Member Posts: 3,156
No because I'm already half way there.

The next poster thinks I'll hit 5000 within 6 months.
  • SkatanSkatan Member, Moderator Posts: 5,352
Hmm.. true. I sense the force is strong in you, young postadan.

The next poster has a high level of midichlorians in their bloodstream.
  • BGLoverBGLover Member Posts: 550
False. Occasionally a high level of alcohol, but never muddydorians, hic!

The next poster has a favourite tree. Not, i should point out, a favourite type of tree, but an actual favourite tree.
  • GenderNihilismGirdleGenderNihilismGirdle Member Posts: 1,353
True, but I visit all the time. It's a protected parkland a few minutes from my childhood home and any time I get the itch while I'm there I walk literally 2 minutes or less to a back entrance to the trail system, then quickly verge off trail, poke a little smot if I got some, and just lean against a tree with my butt on some moss and enjoy the peace and breathe in that beautiful forest air.

The next poster thinks civilization is overrated outside of the help it provides people with disabilities (mental and physical) who need some elements of it to live more comfortably and longer.

also @ThacoBell I think you misread my last "next poster", I was jokingly asking you if you ate people who were vegan, not if you yourself were one lmao no need to get all preachy about your dietary choices when I wasn't being preachy about mine
  • ThacoBellThacoBell Member Posts: 12,235
False, as I am doughy and easy prey.

The next poster has backpacked from Mexico to Canada before.

@GenderNihilismGirdle Sorry that came across preachy. It was supposed to be a joke about not eating a person as they have probably exploited animals in the past, thus eating them would in effect be exploiting animals.
