Weeks? Then it will come out on my birthday (15/08). Thanks for the announcement, but what did you get me as present, can i get it for free? #greedy #onmybirthdayIdeservemanypresents
Everyone, I've found out there can be news about the Adventure Y in the Internet that are not from this forum:
"We unhardcoded the critical hit protection and it can now be set on a per item basis. For example, if someone wants a game where a full plate protects from critical hits and a helmet doesn't, they can make that now."
It's a wonderful thing! An unhardcoding like this is exactly one of those things which can be expected from an EE.
P.S. It's very sad to see the level of negativity towards the EEs in that rpgcodex thread... They even didn't like the Bard Hat.
P.P.S. BTW, the most recent whois search shows 35 (instead of the previous 47) domain records registered by Trent Oster. siegeofdragonspear.com, castleseige.com, dungeondrop.com are still among them.
Huh, I wasn't aware critical hit protection was hardcoded. I was under the impression that even by the time BG2:EE was initially released the devs had removed critical hit protection from ioun stones and the Thieves' Hood.
I've read through that thread. My favorite quote is "Can't be worse than PoE."
imo adY is going to be more successful than PoE (i don't mean financially but creatively) if it doesn't i'll be disappointed because i really don't like PoE
Both PoEs are great on metacritic, but I guess it has to be the slightly less acclaimed Path of Exile, since Pillars was not out yet.
Hmm, I don't think so. That comment was made on April 24th when Eternity had been out for almost a month. Also lots of comparison between it and Adventure Y, which makes more sense for a BG-style game like Eternity. Also some Josh Sawyer mentions (whom a lot of posters seem to be hating on, though I guess I'll never know the reason why).

That's a vote of confidence if I've ever seen one, considering PoE is the third highest ranking current PC game according to Metacritic.
Who wouldn't like this stylish and incredible hat?
if it doesn't i'll be disappointed because i really don't like PoE
