Who wouldn't like this stylish and incredible hat?
Don't mind - they're just trolls. That hat looks so good! I really really want to know if there will be a proper animation on my character if he wears that hat.
P.S. It's very sad to see the level of negativity towards the EEs in that rpgcodex thread... They even didn't like the Bard Hat.
WHAT???
Who wouldn't like this stylish and incredible hat?
Well.. I read a bit in the RPGCodex forums.. I think I understand what they are talking about.
The problem is that it is made in the 21st century and that it is actually playable. They just don't like games that arn't frustatingly hard and nigh-unbeatable and (I think) they are a tad clouded in nostalgia..
..I admit I don't really like them ^^' But then again I'm someone who has little interest in the game mechanics and prefer playing games that are mostly books with choices
So.. take their criticism as a sign that you are doing something right =P

It isn't an internet forum unless there are people being stubbornly ignorant while remaining anonymous regarding other people's work.
Its also cooler to be negative and point out flaws on the internet as you can dismiss any positive retort with a witty "whatever fanboy."
Yeah, though calling someone s 'fanboy' to dismiss their argument leaves you open to a giant suplex if they can actually present good points in an entertaining way.

Just because Wizardry IV: Return of Werdna started off with a room with no apparent exits, and the only way to find the hidden door was to enter combat and summon a group of priests (useless in combat) in order to have them cast Milwa to reveal the door does not mean the game is "frustratingly hard". It's just the way games were back then... and we liked it!!

I think we're on the right track with that. Difficulty slider will noticeably affect general AI, and some more in Adv Y, not just the incoming damage.

Depends on the forum though.
Now on my Commodore 64...

On Insane, the Confusion is set on your party instead.
will i be able to play at normal difficulty and with the best AI?
Unfortunately, we only have one slider, so it's not exactly feasible to separate different aspects of it.
As long as it counts down and not up, I am fine with it.
