Why would they even give you the dialog option for that?
I suppose Bioware may have not wanted to have to write up/code in a different option for players (I really don't get why, I've done it for a mod I'm working on and while I can't remember the exact amount of time I spent on it it was certainly wasn't much more than a few hours of work for me). So rather than do that they give you the illusion of choice.
Anyways, didn't really mean to get this thread as off topic as I've made it. Just had been working on the mod earlier today and noticed that little bit about how Eltan's dialogue is handled.
@Tresset Of course you're right, my mistake.. I just thought that it wasn't mentioned in the description of the weapon, and it's there in black and white ('papirus yellow' to be accurate..) Sorry to bother you
Did you know that starting from this week, a no-reload multiplayer run through BG1&2EE with the SCS setting will begin?
The participants will be:
1) I, your faithful and obedient servant playing the Avenger druid 2) @GemHound playing the drow multiclass Mage/Thief 3) @Meyahi playing the human Berserker later to be dualclassed into a mage 4) @Neverused playing the Undead hunter 5) @semiticgod playing the gnome Cleric/Illusionist 6) @Blackraven playing the multiclass Fighter/Thief
Not each session will include everyone, with some people missing particular sessions and then coming back.
Once you pointed that out though @DJKajuru I did actually go into our internal thing for this kind of stuff and rename mentions of Arvoreen to be male.
If you are fast enough you actually can kill Adalon after completing her quest as she is helping you clear out the drow guarding the way to the surface. It isn't easy because she will try to teleport away if you attack her, but it is probably a bit easier than fighting her in dragon form. A bit on the mean side though...
If you look at the description of Kontik's Ring of Wizardry in Icewind Dale, it says that the ring is made of tungsten. That's the only mention of tungsten I've ever encountered in a medieval fantasy story. It makes sense though, since the ring was apparently originally used by a fire mage. He wouldn't have wanted to accidentally melt his ring with all the fireballs he threw.

Now, just how many improved hastes/whilrwind attacks/time stops+imp alacrity do you expect me to use in order to do that in a few rounds?
Although the spell book or priest scroll screens only show up to 12 slots for memorizing spells of a level, that's not the limit on the number of slots you can have. In BG1, if you somehow end up with two rings of wizardry and your mage could memorize enough level 1 spells in the first place, what happens is that although their level 1 spell screen only shows 12 slots, once they have 12 spells memorized you can keep clicking on spells to have them memorized until there are really no more slots available.

Confirmed magic fire swords are made of T1 high speed steel.
Blindness doesn't just allow you to hide in shadows or set traps in the midst of enemies. You can even save or rest with enemies nearby, if none of your characters has the enemy within their field of vision (enemy invisibility doesn't mean they're out of your field of vision, however).
But the enemy can still "flicker" in and out of your vision every half second or so if they are nearby, which will prevent resting or saving. Being in-battle (as in, the battle music is playing) also prevents resting or saving. You have to avoid combat for a moment before the battle music will end.
You can switch Edwin back and forth between his male and female personas at will if you somehow manage to get a Girdle of Gender. He is scripted to become Edwina any time his gender is female and to become Edwin any time his gender is male. Just be careful, as this is quite likely to introduce some bugs into the game, especially if you haven't completed his quest without the belt prior to doing this. After his quest is resolved completely you should be reasonably safe screwing with him. Note: Does not work once you reach ToB.

Me: Mmm... I'll go to the west, I guess.
DM: You go to the west. Duke Eltan is there, waiting.
Me: Okay. I, um...
DM: He draws his sword and stabs you in the face!
Me: What?
*DM rolls 20d6 for damage
DM: He hits you for 97 damage. You're dead.
Quayle: Ha! You idiot!
DM: He chunks you. Body parts go flying. Quayle, make a Dexterity check.
*Quayle rolls a 20
DM: You get hit by a flying chunk of meat.
Quayle: But I rolled a natural 20.
*DM rolls 50d6 for damage
Sorry to bother you
PS - actually it's "Nama*RR*a"

The run will be documented in https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/40393/maybe-this-time-no-reload-thread-gudruns-adventures-were-off-to-see-the-lizards#latest and everyone is welcome to read and comment about it. I think the participants, all seasoned no-reloaders, will report their feelings about playing BG in a multiplayer mode, from different angles.
I know in the past the documented multiplayer runs by the forumites were a lot of fun:
