Looking at the Undercity map as it looks in Baldur's Gate reminded me that I always wondered wheter at the far west side is another exit leading to somewhere else. Since there's no dead end cut off by water, there could be an alternative exit/entrance guarded/blocked by something that leads to somewhere outside Baldur's Gate city, so that you'd have to choose between a maze and whatever obstacle, additional distance above ground to get to the city.
For people who follow this thread it may be a useful information that during the next 7 days you can buy Might & Magic games on https://www.humblebundle.com/ for what you want (!) and in the same time participate in a charity event:
Pay $1 or more for: Heroes of Might & Magic II: Gold Edition, Heroes of Might & Magic IV: Complete Edition, the Might & Magic 1 to 6 Collection, and Might & Magic Heroes Online - Angel Starter Pack!
Pay $12.38 or more, and you also get:
Heroes of Might & Magic V, Might & Magic Heroes VI - Gold Edition, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, and Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes + I Am the Boss DLC.
Pay $15 or more, and you get all of that plus:
Might & Magic X Legacy, Heroes of Might & Magic 3 - HD Edition, Might & Magic X Legacy + The Falcon & The Unicorn DLC, Might & Magic Heroes VI - Shades of Darkness, and Might & Magic Duel of Champions – Starter Pack.
You can also choose where the money you pay goes -- between the developers and three charitable causes (Doctors Without Borders, American Red Cross, and charity: water).
I think that Undercity is more of a desolation with ruins rather than a volcano island. Your current version looks fine to me.
One more thing to consider: You could move the mines area to the south of the Undercity, if that's possible. Since now the river is a bit far away from the mines and then it would sort of surround the northern parts of that area and made more sense with the possibility of flood. The river plug is to the north in the game as well. Then you can expand the maze area, if you wish.
Looks wonderful, I like the changes. The river makes much more sense and the Davaeorn's stronghold fits with the mines way better now than the volcanic area. Great work overall @Shandyr
@Son_of_Imoen May I ask, have you played Heroes of Might and Magic 3?
Not yet, so far I've only played HoMM V (the first I got to know) and HoMM IV (the one I like the most). I've only just started HoMM III HD Edition and am still in the tutorial.

Tamika for Tamoko!
But I think we need a few more temples(?) or ruins and dead bodies.
(In all seriousness... I thought under city, before having a read to figure out what is going on.)

(I think I still do have a WOG install of HOMAM3 on this computer somewhere. I will have to find it and make it work now.)
Keep up the good work!
Looking forward to see the map with creatures, resources and treasures!
