"Beamdog" is a reference to a long-lost Peanuts strip where Snoopy gained heat vision and finally got his revenge against the Red Baron.
Charles Schultz never published the strip because Stan Lee thought Schultz was stealing the character Cyclops from X-Men, and sent Schultz a letter threatening to send in his team of super-powered mutant copyright lawyers.
Rather than risk a nasty legal battle, Schultz hired a Stan Lee impersonator to mock his enemy on the Simpsons...
Many people know about the appearance of the shadow thieves in the 7th chapter of BG1, but you can actually encounter a member of the shadow thieves much earlier than that. He is in the tavern in Nashkel.
If you talk to him you can ask him on his thoughts on the situation between Amn and Baldur's Gate. What he says will evolve over the course of the game.
We all know about the Golden Pantaloons, the Silver Pantaloons and the Bronze Pantalettes. But did you know about the Iron Pantaloons that one of the Slayer Shades drops on the Throne of Bhaal itself, or were you all too busy killing Mellissan?

What the heck? Why was that even placed there? Can it be used for anything?
There is a hidden door into the Gnoll Stronghold. It's found right about here.
Unfortunately, if you open it and try to step inside the game crashes. This is because of a bug in the original game. The actual interior areas of the Gnoll Fortress were finished back in 1998.
Wait does the interior map data still exist or is it just concept art that never made it into the game? Because I would be surprised if that didn't make it into Unfinished Business.

A lot of things didn't make it into Unfinished Business. The game has a bunch of dialog files and scattered journal entries/quests that were never used (Eldoth being the captain of the guard at a keep being probably the most well known one).
Did you know that the zombie farm originally had a larger subplot? Instead of it just being a bunch of zombies on a farm that needed to be removed it actually served as the starting point of a quest that would eventually involve you searching through the lair of a powerful necromancer.
The basic plot went like this: after you kill his precious zombies he confronts you in a tavern in Baldur's Gate. You are forced to fight against the skeletal warriors he summons. After that would have had to hunt down a series of clues, before finally learning the location of his lair (where of course you deal with him once and for all)
Did you know that you can actually work on behalf of Alatos"Ravenscar" Thuibuld, the leader of the Baldur's Gate Thieves Guild, in order to find out what is happening with the Iron Throne? The original creators of the game weren't thrilled with how the quest was handled however, and it was actually cut with the release of Tales of the Sword Coast.
If you get Cromwell to forge the Silver Pantaloons into the Silver Dragon Eggs, you can give them to Adalon the first time you meet her. She will be fooled into thinking that you already saved them from Ust Natha and take you straight to the Underdark exit.
Of course you miss out on the Ust Natha questline and the Big Metal Unit...
If you start a new game and then talk to Elminster on April 1st he will tell you about a secret stash of magic rings that you can find in the Ulcaster ruins.
Its possible to travel to Sigil in BG2 using the Planar Sphere. To do so you are required to have Dak'kon's sword and a skull in your inventory. For it to work Charname must also be called The Nameless One.

It actually means ages ! :P

...only to see Stan Lee send kidnappers after Schultz's wife.
Fortunately, by then Schultz had finished his heat vision invention, and his pet beagle, Beamdog Zapface, incinerated the kidnappers on sight.

That is probably about the closest you are going to get.
