technically speaking even if the gazebo is not a physical object it exists as a figment of your imagination which prevents the gazebo from being a lie. like an unreal number
A very reliable source (which I am afraid I cannot divulge) told me today that the actual storyline of 'Adventure Y' surrounds an evil gaze born from the abyss.

You know what they say once you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazebos also into you
I am suspicious of these gazebo creatures. They sound an awful lot like glabrezu...
That is he whole joke of it.
IIRC @the_spyder posted a link to a story where a DM was describing a scene of a large open field with a gazebo in he middle of it and the player freaked out and ran away thinking it was a glabrezu after firing an arrow at it and doing no damage.
I think that what the Devs are trying to say is that the entire Adventure Y happens IN a gazebo... or perhaps over... or even under one...
The greatest gazebo the multiverse has ever known. Its tasteful roof blots out the sky, and its hand-carved rails tower like forgotten monuments as a vast range in the distance. It was made by the Netherese, of course.
I remember when PhillipDaigle changed his forum avatar to the pic that became the Rasaad's portrait in the future, it was a good sign, and one of the most exciting news about future BGEE.
Now Dee has changed his pic to this:
Of course, it may or may not be connected with the Adventure Y but it still gives me a lot of excitement.
Maybe... you are a different Bhaalspawn, who is doomed to failure?
Prequel?
You're the guy thrown off the Iron Throne building in the opening scene.
It plays more like horror game as you constantly have to hide from Saravok as you attempt to escape the building which you find out use to be a spell hold mental institution before it got transferred to Brynlaww.
Every step the character is hounded by doppelgangers, or magical spirits, or large armour figures as he character searches for away out, only to discover his past and heritage.

Maybe not Adventure Y but this would certainly be a great mod...

Or maybe... you play Sarevok's path up to the killing of Gorion. The game would cover Sarevok's rise to power, such as how he gained his sword and armor, claiming the Iron Throne mansion as a stronghold, forming alliances with Black Talon and Chill, romance with Tamoko, party members would include Semaj, Aggelo, Tamoko, Tazok

you could also play as gorion when he finds charname originally and his encounter with firkraag

isn't that Dorn? The stylized art of Dorn looks like that iirc. Like when you check what addons you have purchased when you start the game it shows that helmety look of Dorn

Hmm... maybe something like "BG Origins - Dorn Il-Khan"..?
That would be the biggest let-down ever.
The screenshots of the opening movie that showed Imoen and Sarevok are the most exciting part imho. I really hope it is Bhaalspawn related in some way, despite them saying there is an Icewind Dale connection. The fact that there is both connections is kinda crazy. In what way could it be related to both? I can't wait to see the answer to that question.
If it isn't Bhaalspawn related and just Icewind Dale related, it'd be a big deal... people would start calling the whole incident Icewindgate, which will only confuse everyone more.
But remember, Icewindgate is about ethics in gaming journalism!
everybody knows that goblins aren't gazebos they just have a common ancestor a few million years ago (according to elminster's theory of monster/gardenfeature evolution)

Since it is pretty much necessary for Bhaal to have fathered children waaay before the actual Time of Troubles, there might be a Bhaalspawn around during the IWD saga... (Weenog..?)
Could also be the adventures of Bhaal himself doing... you know... but I shudder at the rating that game would get.

THE GOBLIN!

THE GOBLIN IS THE GAZEBO!!!
GOBZEBO?
they just have a common ancestor a few million years ago (according to elminster's theory of monster/gardenfeature evolution)
Goblin the Gazebo?
Or a new spell The Gaze of Bo?
Stuff we know to be sort of accurate and legit so far in my head... (that sometimes floats among the clouds)
I definitely think the link is through Dorn to Icewind Dale.
It is a standalone game, due to the new GUI.
The name of this game is BG Next. (Although this name has been hinted at being used with latest DnD ruleset and BG3.)
There will be somekind of man-eating garden furniture in the game.
There will be at least some kind of goblin like ability available to the characters...
Have I missed anything?
Could also be the adventures of Bhaal himself doing... you know... but I shudder at the rating that game would get.
Real women use scimitars
