Jarrakul: You're right about Aerie. I didn't think of it before because it seems a fairly sensible thing to me that an elf should be able to do that as well as a half-elf. Thanks for putting your finger on why these rule-breakers stand out to me as well. It would seem to me that the developers could just as easily have made these characters entirely legal as not. I don't see the why of it either.
Wubble: I don't see the illegality in this case. I just checked, and Jaheira appears to meet the race and ability requirements for being a Fighter/Druid in both games.
I was probably thinking of the dual class requirements
when a party member casts restoration, the caster gets fatigued. when i go to a temple and have it cast on me, the recipient gets fatigued. how does that even make sense?!
@simples: It's just a quirk of the system, having the recipient cast the spell on him or herself. I don't know if it's possible to get the priest to cast the spell. I encountered that problem in my old restless run of SoA.
While I'd snarkily call Aerie herself a "little thing that annoys me", her illegal multiclass actually doesn't because I think it's well justified in story by her being basically a gnome. Of course, that means she should have been an illusionist, but meh.
Anomen, on the other hand, not only lacks the wisdom according to the character sheet, but his immaturity, pigheadedness, and arrogance show that 1. that wisdom score is absolutely accurate and 2. makes it really hard for me to believe that he could have channeled the power of Helm as a cleric.
Kind of strange how Carsomyr does just as much damage to lawful good characters as it does to neutral evil characters. In fact, it does more damage to good guys than almost any other weapon in the game! Not much of a holy avenger, is it?

Shapeshifted characters and summons often can't fit through doors. It feels very lame to see a grizzly bear with 18/00 STR or a mustard jelly with an amorphous body somehow unable to get through a wide open doorway.
And yet I'm perfectly willing to conjure a horde of bunny rabbits to hold off a Fire Giant that could easily step right over them.
That the games assume my party travels straight from one area to another without stopping to rest, so we're fatigued on arrival. This is especially annoying in IWD where it can take up to 5 days to get from one place to another. Nobody would travel like that, especially in a freezing wilderness. I don't care how high your CON is, you'd be dead before you got there.
One thing that actually bugs me is having to watch characters die right in front of me when I could hit them with a heal or resurrection spell. Shouldn't that go something like...
NPC: "eh....I am dying...my wounds are so grievous...I have some important information..."
Charname: "Viccy"
NPC: "but fear I will not make it..."
Viconia: "Heal"
NPC: "to tell you. Ahhh."
Charname: "You are totally healed. We can all see it."
NPC: "Fine. Balthazar sent me here to keep an eye on Draconis because he wants to kill all the Bhaalspawn because you guys are inherently evil with the taint of Bhaal in even the best of you. Spoil sports."
inability to equip the second weapon when there's a two-handed weapon in one of the main hand's slots
This has been driving me nuts. All I want is for my ranged character to switch to two daggers when someone gets in her face. Why is this so much to ask?

Let's hope it will be redone in SoD and then transferred in a patch to BGEE and BG2EE;)
@bengoshi@Brer_Rabbit you can do that with eekeeper! simply equip your ranged weapon and the first melee one, than eekeeper the second one into your shield slot

Why do gibberlings have spell scrolls? I can see where one might have picked one up from a dead mage, but it seems every other group has one or two of them.
Regarding Aerie's illegal multi-class: she's Avariel, and according to The Complete Book of Elves, C/M is a legal combo for them. It's just that they didn't implement sub-races, and that's why Viconia is technically an Elf with Magic Resistance slapped on.
What annoys me is that monks can't use quarterstaves. I mean, come on. Is it that different from a bō?
I know, it has to do with the lack of two-handed weapon Monk animations, but still, it annoys me.

And why can you loot gold from extraplanar creatures?
The worst thing ever is having only part of your party equipped with Boots of Speed and having to wait five minutes for the slugs to catch up before you can move forward.

Another reason to just run with the PC and your romance choice, plus maybe Jan/Imoen for traps.

At least there are mods.

... but you can't find a tree branch to use as a club.

That you 'kill' so many Liches but not a single phylactery. Come on! It's called follow-through.
That Hexxat's quest line doesn't have a single piece of unique loot.
That Hexxat tells you as much about her character, background, hopes and desires as an Icewind Dale party member.
That Nalia is willing to give her ancestral lands to a Blackguard. Really? Are the Roenails *that* bad?
That Raasad just knows that Algoroth is behind the Twofold Trust without any proof.
That monks are so horrible at using weapons...and there is an awesome monk only weapon. =(
Minsc - Wisdom too low for ranger
Aerie - Illegal race/class
Anomen - Wisdom too low
Cernd - Charisma too low
Coran - Illegal dex score
Kaigan - Illegal con score
Dorn - Illegal race/class
Just a way to make players feel OK about occassionally using EE Keeper to shake things up!

Then again, I get to use a spear.
Alora
Now if you can excuse me I need to run away before @Vallmyr sends a horde of undead bros after me.
