Dynaheir isn't looking for bhaalspawn, rather she is doing a study on gnoll society. Getting captured was always part of the plan. Minsc berserking to her rescue...not so much.
If you name your character Drizzt, your race changes to the drow, and you can see it at the character screen after the narrator ends his starting tale.
In this case when you meet an NPC called Drizzt in both games he reacts angrily, something about that there could be only one, and then you both fight.

Are you automatically granted two pips in 'Claymore' as well?
If you call your protagonist "Khalid", the Jaheira romance will complete much faster in BG2.
If you call your protagonist Quayle", Aerie will romance you regardless of gender or race.
Finally, Viconia will normally not romance an elf but if you call an elf protagonist Drizzt, she falls in love with you immediately but leaves you for Drizzt Do'Urden when you meet him after the Underdark. But this makes it possible to summon Viconia AND Drizzt from the Fate Spirit in Throne of Bhaal. They will then join the party as an unseparable couple.

And then they're always sneaking off for a bit of "hanky-panky" just when you need them for a big fight. The micromanagement just isn't worth it.

I'd rather not think about some of the implications of those ideas
And if you name your green-skinned half-orc barbarian "The Hulk," then Elminster will accuse you of copyright infringement and will spawn in a group of Iron Golems to serve you a cease and desist order.
There is a secret dialogue option that will allow you to buy turnips from Jan when you first meet him. However, it requires you to first throw the dryads' acorns at Neeber in Trademeet, then pick them up and take them to Spellhold, where Irenicus will politely ask for them back, saying that he will trade you Imoen for them. Turns out, he really misses those dryads.

(I have some strong feelings about the matter)
If you decide to kill Sendai "from Amn" in the Cloudpeak Mountains, you fight only against one of the Sendai's numerous clones.
