I am told by @JuliusBorisov that Mazzy's sword is an item beloved by no-reloaders for its immunity to stun. Did you know that any halfling who is either a pure Fighter, a pure Thief, or a Fighter/Thief can use the sword? UAI can allow its use it as well!
Did you know: those vampire encounters you run into in Athkatla at night? If you rest as soon as they appear, before they get a chance to initiate dialogue, they transform into bats/gaseous form in the morning and you can skip the encounter.

Why would I want to do that? I always try to avoid those encounters until I can pay Mr. Coo so I can fight them all for the XP.

You can fight them sooner than that, of course. It's just hard what with the level drain and the immunity to +1 weapons.

Same tactic can be used in Brynnlaw. Rest on the boat before departing and watch Havarian squirm.

Tanova is immune to below +3 though. She's a pretty good reason to leg it

Because they are annoying as unholy f... uh, fudge. And the thought to suggest this crossed my mind when someone mentioned the vampires can potentially cause an abrupt end to solo players.

I thought they fixed that? The game certainly never lets me rest on the boat.

When was that ever valid? I can't even save until I deal with the vampires, and I'm pretty sure it's always been that way.
Did you know Hull's sword does actually break? There was a rumor it didn't.
In original BG every mundane weapon that was personal weapon for someone (Hull's longsword, Perdue's shortsword, Nester's dagger ect.) was unbreakable. Don't really know why this was changed. After all in EE one can aquire magical weapons so early in the game that weapon breakage isn't that big a problem that one shoud forgo guest exp for unbreakable mundane weapons.

Did they I usually like the fight, so I never do it anymore.

Sailor Newf, who can be found in Jopalin's Tavern in the Baldur's Gate docks (and later, Pirate Newf, found in The Vulgar Monkey in Brynnlaw) sings the song I'se the B'y. This is a folk song from my home province of Newfoundland, Canada. This song is closer to our anthem than our actual anthem is, and everyone born and raised in Newfoundland is taught this song from the day they learn how to speak.
The name Sailor Newf also comes from the fact that people who live in Newfoundland are often called Newfs, or Newfies. What makes this NPC is even more perfect, is that Newfoundland culture and history is heavily influenced by fishing. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find someone in Newfoundland who doesn't have a family member working somewhere in the fishery business. So, making him a sailor fits very well.
Lastly, and I don't have any proof of this, but I feel as though this little nod to Newfoundland came from the voice actor of Dynaheir and Mazzy, as well as other characters in Bioware games- Jennifer Hale. Hale was born in Goose Bay, Labrador, which is, without getting too technical, a part of Newfoundland. From what I understand, she didn't live there long, but I imagine there's some sort of connection between her and the inclusion of this little NPC.
Anyway, you can only imagine my excitement, as a Newfie, when I came across Sailor Newf. Just goes to show just how much detail went into even the tiniest of things in this game.
You actually don't need to kill Captain Haegan on the slaver ship in the slums in order to spring the children there. This game is so shameless with its abuse of "This door does not have a conventional lock, and may be warded against simple spells" excuse that it took me years to even think that his key might not be necessary.

It's always been possible to rest on the boat, but the game has an invisible enemy nearby, so you can't actually rest (or save) in the position you first arrive in. However, if you move to the very end of the boat you can rest and then watch the vampires fry in the morning sun.
pretty sure natural lightning strikes is hard locked to 50% of the target's maximum health in damage. hence why it doesn't even display it in the textbox
Enchanted Weapon can set any weapon's enchantment to 3 if it is not already higher, but it cannot let normal arrows bypass Protection from Normal Missiles. This is because the spell blocks weapons not based on their enchantment value, but on their projectile type.
We had a lot of spam a while back advertising Indian occult stuff. Somebody said the bots targeted us because the Beamdog forums mentions "spells" so often.
Now I think I know why the spam bots were Indian: because the forums also contain mentions of "rakshasas," which are demons in Hindu mythology.
@semiticgod I think those occult bots are actually plaguing the entire internet. I have googled their names and such before and found numerous other forums infected by that garbage. IIRC many of these forums had little or nothing to do with spells or gaming in general.

Did you know if you make the 3 fishermen hostile and lead them to Gerde, she'll happily slay them for you?

I usually like the fight, so I never do it anymore. It was. It was even listed in the official guide.
