I think some folks have already noticed that when you click on the "Discussions" tab, you don't see threads from the Road to 2.0 subforum.
But you can easily access it through the left menu of the site or through the announcement on the top of the page.
The developers have stated that SoD and new beta versions of BGEE and BG2EE share the same code so every bug you help to find in the beta versions of the EEs can be fixed in SoD as well, thus your feedback and beta-testing is very important.
Yes, your feedback. You can test the new UI, changed abilities, the new class and everything else and then share your thoughts and suggestions.
There's a survey now available - http://goo.gl/forms/Thx1nZ9CPU - about your views on the beta and the things you see there. The answers in this survey, as well as comments in the Road to 2.0 subforum can actually help to make SoD and new versions of the EEs better.
The developers want to find out players' thoughts and there is a real chance to influence certain things in the game before SoD and new patches are out. This is a unique situation, and it would be great to use the chance!
Even if you don't have access to the beta, but if you have strong feelings based on the screenshots you've seen or the gameplay videos you've watched, please do fill out the survey (if you haven't already).
"If you manage to unlock all of the achievements in BG:EE, or all of the achievements in BGII:EE, we will send you a copy of the Siege of Dragonspear Collector's Edition for free as soon as it becomes available!"
"If you have a camera or a phone with a camera, we want to see you playing the beta. Take a selfie (or have a friend snap a photo of you) while you're playing the beta, or somehow showcasing the beta in the same picture. Post enough selfies, and one of our artists will select the best shot from your submissions to "baldurize" into a custom portrait that we'll make available to download on this site."
@bengoshi , Wait, that's actually a real thing? I thought it was just a joke somebody made. Is the prize available for doing it on 1.3 without the beta, or only for beta testers? Will they give away prizes to as many as actually do it before the CE supplies run out, or is it only for the first person to do it?
Recently, I started my first no-reload playthrough ever, and I'm taking it old-school: I'm playing through the original non-enhanced Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast! It's a solo playthrough.
The character is pretty much the ultimate glass cannon: he is such a powerful warrior that he could hit Drizzt on a roll of 2 and kill him in four hits, yet he is so fragile and easy to hit that a pair of lowly kobold archers could kill him in an instant! He can also stab people with a two-handed sword.

@BelgarathMTH This is real. The achivements are available only if you play the beta-version on Steam, thus the prizes are only for beta testers on Steam (but you can ask for a Steam key in an email to Beamdog, if you own a game purchased from Beamdog). As for how winners will be defined, we have to ask @Dee
The bug reporting system has been changed, based on the feedback from the open beta (which I greatly support).
Now, if you want to report a bug in BGEE, BG2EE, IWDEE and SoD, you should do it on Redmine. This process is more formal, you should follow a certain instruction to make a report:
steps to reproduce, observed behavior, expected behavior, notes
(with attached screenshots and save files in the zip format)
Check the Dee's and Cerevant's instructions about reporting bugs:
He has his sessions so far posted as recordings if you can't catch any live streams.
He makes interesting, positive commentary, and has a very pleasing radio voice. His excitement, eagerness, and joy in playing the new 2.0 game are very contagious. I recommend his videos highly.
@Mr2150 is in the process of creating a scrollable portrait picker as part of the UI.menu. Several testers are needed. This mod will let you see a scrollable list of portraits and you will be able to search them by name in-game.
We have threads where veteran players answer question about games. But @Papa_Lou has come with an idea of a thread where we can ask question to a newbie, about his views on the game, how he finds the game etc etc. Come and ask!

The beta for the Ascension - Enhanced Edition has been released and is available for all users of this forum.
https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/45563/ascension-v1-5-beta-enhanced-edition-release#Head
The request of making the Ascension mod EE-compatible has been one of the most popular requests since the thought of BG2EE had appeared.
The mod also has a second component, of tweaking portraits a bit to suit additional class/kit options.
I've fallen in love with those portraits and greatly appreciate your work, Ineth!

1) It will be as amazing as one could imagine
2) There comes more and more evidence we won't see official PSTEE

Then participate in https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/49187/road-to-v2-0-feedback-survey-3#latest The more feedback they get, the better chances to get that AMA become. And you can share thoughts on new things from the beta in the process, even if you haven't tried it but saw the screenshots here and there.
An availability of such new UI mods is going to beat all the rest additions from the new patch!
